There are a few things you can do to ‘lighten your load’. Firstly, make sure you are doing something you really love, are passionate about and that suits your personality. If you do this you will feel more motivated to put in the time and effort necessary.
Develop ways to cope with any difficulties you may encounter and ways to deal with challenges maturely. You should also learn to ‘roll with the punches’. If you are faced with a challenge don’t let it throw you off completely. Don’t spend too much time stressing about it, instead try and find a solution or a way to make it work in your favour. You also need to identify your strengths and weaknesses to clearly understand what you are and aren’t capable of doing. Don’t take on a project that you cannot deliver on.
As a mother, it is essential that you are able to balance your work and personal/family life. The time may come where one area of your life needs more attention, but always make sure you have enough time for yourself, and your family.
